B&B Rifugio Uscio
typical old house of Liguria situated in Uscio
historical town center, Genova, at only 9 km from Recco and
Camogli, Portofino, it offers sea view and a large garden, a
mild and airy climate all year round, as well as the
possibility to practice several sports activities: diving
(in Portofino Marine Reserve), hiking with sea view, sailing,
canoeing, mountain bike tours, tours on horseback, and a
beautiful sea. Uscio lies in a panoramic position towards
the amphitheater-shaped Recco Valley, an open and panoramic
valley always facing the mountains and the sea. An untouched
area situated among three regional parks. Uscio is an
important destination for hikers because, at only 100 meters
from B&B Rifugio Uscio, they will find the connection trail
(no. 53) leading from Portofino to Alta Via dei Monti
Liguri.

B&B Rifugio Uscio is a characteristic local house of the
early 20th century that has been renovated considering the
features characterizing its unique style. The mosaic floors are
original and, as you can see from the photos, the coffered
ceiling is made of ancient timber. It is characterized by period
furnishing.
The position of B&B Rifugio Uscio is particularly interesting
for several reasons:

It lies very near to the town center, since it is situated
above the church of Uscio, where there are bars, services (post
office, ATM), shops, a pizzeria, and transport services (buses)

Rifugio Uscio lies at only 300 meters from the halting place
(parking area above the B&B) where you can leave to reach all
the main itineraries of Golfo Paradiso, both to Portofino, San
Fruttuoso beach and Genova (Monte Fasce),Camogli,Portofino,Santa
Margherita Zoagli.

Recco, the gastronomic capital of Liguria, offers several
festivals all year round between Recco and Uscio, in
characteristic towns. It also offers delicious specialties.
The climate is always mild and characterized by a pleasant
marine breeze (seagulls often come and visit us). Since it is
characterized by a particularly healthy microclimate, Uscio
perfectly identifies itself with the name of the wonderful gulf
where it is situated: Paradiso ("paradise"). Very
often in October is 22 degree in november too.( this year
2009)
